Subject: Call
for Papers and Presentations,
International
Workshop on Evaluating Climate Change and Development
The Secretariat of the
International Workshop on Evaluating Climate Change and
Development
would like to announce its Call for Papers and Presentations. The
International Workshop will take place May 10-13, 2008 at the Bibliotheca
Alexandrina in Alexandria, Egypt. The International Workshop aims to
identify good practices, methodologies, and information gaps in evaluation
of climate change and development projects and programs. By doing so it
aims to realize the potential of evaluations to contribute to climate
change mitigation and adaptation.
REGISTRATION is now
open and accessible via our website at
http://www.esdevaluation.org/
There are no fees, but
participants are expected to cover their own travel and
expenses. The
organizers will award funding to some participants from developing
countries, selected by a process to be announced later.
PROPOSALS for papers or presentations should address methodological issues
in evaluating either climate change mitigation or adaptation. Research
studies and non-evaluative assessments may also be considered, provided
they are relevant to the evaluation of climate change issues. These may
include reports on methodologies, measurements, and indicators or studies
on the relationship between mitigation/adaptation and development.
Proposals should be
submitted by September 15, 2007.
SUBMIT an outline or
abstract (up to 500 words; in English) by emailing:
