Agecon Search Update
Dear AAAE Member
This is an update on the dissemination of scientific papers from AAAE
conferences through AgEcon Search. The papers from the 2nd AAAE
International Conference held in Accra during 2007, are now available on
the internet at AgEcon Search,
http://ageconsearch.umn.edu/handle/35921.
AgEcon Search is a free, open access repository of full-text scholarly
literature in agricultural and applied economics, including working
papers, conference papers and journal articles. Subscribers contributing
publications to the AgEcon Search include
31 scientific journals and 217
institutions involved in researcher, training and development in the field
of Agricultural and applied economics. Posting of AAAE conference papers
enables large global access to scientific research papers by members of
the Association which enhances exposure, download and citation of their
work across the world.
Statistics from AgEcon Search indicate that
31 AAAE papers presented at the
2004 Inaugural Symposium in Nairobi were downloaded
642 times by internet users
between the year 2006 and 2008. Between May 2008 and July 2009, AAAE
papers have been downloaded a total of
2671 times, representing a monthly download average of
178 papers. The graphical
presentation of download statistics is shown below in Figure 1. As a
user, you can generate this data by browsing to
http://ageconsearch.umn.edu/handle/35921 and select “Stats Display”
tab (see Figure 2).
