About African Association of Agricultural Economists (AAAE)
African Association
of Agricultural Economists (AAAE) was established at its inaugural
symposium on 6-8 December 2004 in Nairobi, Kenya and registered in Kenya
on September 19, 2005. The meeting brought together over 80
representatives of African universities, research and development
institutions, business and the public sector from 24 countries in Africa
and the rest of the world.
The association has
over 451 registered members working in over 100 subjects in agricultural
and resource economics as well as in other social sciences, spread in over
24 African countries and Diaspora. Membership is open to interested social
scientists for US $30 and $15 for professionals and students respectively,
over a two year period or until the next AAAE international conference.
New Membership registration can be conducted through the association’s
regional and national representatives or directly to the secretariat and
online on Paypal.
