The 5th AAAE Conference - Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
23 - 26 September 2016
THEME: "Transforming smallholder agriculture in Africa: The role of policy and governance."
CALL FOR PAPER SUBMISSIONS
AAAE President invites submissions for the 5th Conference of African Association Agricultural Economists (5th CAAAE) 2016 to be held at the United Nations Conference Centre - Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 23-26 September, 2016. These submissions may include Contributed Papers and Organized Symposia.
The deadline for all submissions is March 7, 2016. Corresponding authors will be informed of the outcome of the review and selection process by June 6, 2016. Kindly download the conference Flyer in English and/or French
All contributions will be carefully refereed in a double-blind process for relevance and quality. The submitting author must indicate whether he/she would prefer to make an Oral or a Visual presentation.
The manuscript (English and French) should be submitted electronically to the Programs Committee at email@example.com
The manuscript should include an abstract at the beginning of not more than 250 words. The text should be presented in Times New Roman 12 pt., 1.15 Line spacing in Microsoft Word with 2.54 cm margins on A4 paper size. The title page should include the title, the name(s) of the author(s) and their affiliation(s). Articles should not be longer than 7500 words. A comprehensive paper submission guideline can be downloaded here
Please note that presenters of papers must first register to be AAAE members at the AAAE website. Each presenter may be a co-author of a number of Contributed Paper submissions, but may only make ONE Oral and/or Visual Presentation.
Competitive travel grants covering part of the cost of attending the conference may be available to needy cases, especially from low-income countries
The Organized Symposia provide more flexibility than is available with Contributed Papers. We envisage that most of these proposals will include presentations that explore different, complementary aspects of a particular topic. Proposals that involve discussants with different points of view will be of particular interest.
Each Symposium organizer should prepare and send a PDF file summarizing the content of the proposal including: session title, session rationale, names and contact information for the organizer(s), key participants, and a description of the symposium format that includes: the question to be examined; the approaches used to analyze this question; the format to be used; and plans for discussion. Deadline for the Organized Symposia submissions is March 7, 2016
